STATEMENT OF FAITH
-
We believe the Bible, both Old & New Testaments, to be in-errantly inspired of God & our only authority in matters of Christian faith & practice. 2 Tim 3:16
-
We believe in One God, Creator of all things, infinitely perfect & eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, & Holy Spirit. Deut 6:4, 2 Cor 13:14
-
We believe that Jesus Christ, the Son, is fully God & fully human. He was conceived of the Holy Spirit & born of the virgin Mary. His sinless life, voluntary substitutionary death, shed blood, & bodily resurrections were necessary & sufficient for the redemption of man. He will visibly return to earth in glory to consummate His Kingdom. Matt 3:17, Rom 5:6-11, 1 Thes 4:16-17
-
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God. Through His power & presence, He is the effective agent in the new birth. Through His indwelling, He empowers the believer for godly living & service. John 14:26
-
We believe that man was created by God in His image as a moral & rational being. The historic fall of man into sin & his disobedience, individually & corporately, produced divine condemnation. Gen 1:26, Rom 5:12-15
-
We believe that only those who repent of their sins & believe in Jesus Christ are saved by grace through faith, having been born again of the Holy Spirit, forgiven & declared righteous by God. John 14:6, Eph 2:8-9
-
We believe that the true Church is composed of all such persons who have trusted in Jesus Christ for their salvation, & that involvement in a local church is normative for a growing believer. Eph 2:19-22, Heb 10:25
-
We believe that marriage involves one biologically born man and one biologically born woman in permanent sacred fidelity. Gen 2:24, Mat 19:1-9
-
We believe that any form of sexual immorality, such as adultery, fornication, homosexuality, bisexual conduct, bestiality, incest, pedophilia, pornography, any attempt to change one’s sex or disagreement with one’s biological sex, is sinful and offensive to God. Lev 18:1-30, Mat 5:28, Rom 1:26-29, 1 Cor 6:9
-
We believe the redeemed will be resurrected bodily to the everlasting presence & enjoyment of God, & the unredeemed will be resurrected to judgment & everlasting punishment. 1 Cor 15:51-53, Dan 12:1-3, Rev 20:11-15
